“I’m Fine” Is Costing You More Than You Think
He sat across from me, leaning back in his chair, offering a quick smile.
“I’m fine. Just busy. Nothing I can’t handle.”
But his body told a different story.
The Hidden Cost of “I’m Fine”
This client was the picture of high-functioning success—a solid career, a reputation for reliability, a family who counted on him. But his body was speaking a truth he hadn’t yet given himself permission to hear.
Tight jaw. Constant low-level fatigue. Restless sleep.
He thought this was “just how life is” when you’re carrying a lot of responsibility.
During our conversation, he began to notice what his body had been trying to tell him for months: You’re running on grit, not alignment.
When he started making small shifts—pausing between meetings, stepping outside for two minutes of stillness, noticing his breath before responding—he realized how much energy he’d been burning just to hold it all together.
Reflection
We can keep saying “I’m fine” and push through.
Or we can listen sooner, shift sooner, and discover that life doesn’t have to feel this hard to be this successful.
Grace isn’t about doing less—it’s about doing from a place where your nervous system and your purpose are working together.
Your Invitation
Your body is already giving you clues. The Energy Map will help you decode them.
